Michelle Gingold, Owner and Head Baker, was born and raised in South Florida. Inspired by her Argentinean Grandma's hand made pasta, biscottis and empanadas, she learned to bake at a young age. Earning her degree in Baking & Pastry, Michelle graduated from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in 2011. After school she worked in several restaurants and bakeries learning from various chefs the art and complexity of making food from scratch and running a business.
Younger sister, Melisa Gingold, went to Business School at the University of South Florida where she studied Business Management and Marketing. After graduation in 2014, Melisa traveled through Central America and the Caribbean for 2 years doing various work trades along the way. When the bakery was finally getting ready to open, it was time to return home and pursue the dream of being an entrepreneur.
Del Sol Bakery first got its start in 2016 at the Boca Raton Saturday Green Market with the help from their Mom, Monica Martinez. While the bakery was under construction, the Del Sol ladies rented a commercial kitchen in Boca to prepare baked goods for the weekend market. We quickly became known for our ham and cheese croissants. After an almost two year long process of recipe testing, business planning, building out the kitchen, the Del Sol ladies were ready to open the Bakery doors in May 2017!
Del Sol Bakery is now proud to bake you happy with artisan rustic breads, delicious cakes, flaky buttery pastries and sandwiches! At Del Sol we have the philosophy of simple ingredients, made from scratch and baked fresh daily. We wholesales to local restaurants and cafes around the Boynton Beach and Delray Beach area as well as our retail take out selection.
We thank you for supporting your local bakery and hope to see you soon!
